Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about your journey with Pearson's Medieval Shoppe.
How do I ensure my medieval garments fit correctly?
Since historical sizing varies from modern standards, we provide a detailed size chart on every product page. We recommend measuring your chest, waist, and sleeve length while wearing the undergarments you plan to use with your tunic or gown.
What materials are used in your apparel and armor?
We prioritize authenticity and durability. Our clothing is primarily crafted from natural linen, heavy cotton, and wool blends, while our armor is forged from high-quality carbon steel and genuine top-grain leather.
How long does shipping take for custom-made cloaks and tunics?
Standard in-stock items ship within 2-3 business days. For custom-tailored pieces or hand-forged items, please allow 4-6 weeks for craftsmanship and delivery. You will receive a tracking number via raven—or email—once your order departs.
Do you offer rentals for Renaissance Faires or theatrical productions?
At this time, Pearson's Medieval Shoppe only offers items for direct purchase to ensure the highest hygiene and quality standards for our customers. However, we do offer bulk discounts for theatrical troupes and reenactment groups.
What is your return policy if my armor doesn't fit?
We accept returns on unworn clothing and unused gear within 30 days of delivery. Please note that custom-sized garments and personalized engravings are final sale and cannot be returned unless there is a manufacturing defect.
How should I clean and maintain my period clothing?
Most of our linen and cotton tunics are machine washable on a cold, gentle cycle, but we recommend air drying to prevent shrinkage. For leather armor and wool cloaks, professional dry cleaning or specialized leather conditioning is advised.
